August 21, 2006: Seattle, Washington

After walking downtown we stopped by to see Chris and Gail Widger. It was great to see them looking happy and healthy.

Last, we went to the U-Dub (Stacey insists that's how its referred to) district to walk around and play some shuffleboard.

August 21, 2006: Seattle, Washington.

We were lucky to come into the city basked in sunshine.

Pike's Market downtown puts our's in L.A. to shame.

Tons of cheap food and cheap flowers and fresh fish.

The library downtown is a modern marvel.
August 18, 2006: Hood River, Oregon.

What a campsite we found - right on the gorge.

August 18, 2006: Hood River, Oregon.

Here's a look into our RV. As you can see, its quite spacious and luxurious.

The Columbia Gorge was amazing. Super windy, with 3-foot breakers and kite surfers on one day, and glassy calm the next.

And the city of Hood River is such a cute little town... with its own little brewery!

August 14, 2006: Bend, Oregon.

There were lots of nice places to relax by the river in Bend.

We felt like we could have stayed longer, but we must head East...

Next up: Hood River.

We went to the famous Deschutes Brewery in Bend, where Thom had to try all the brews.

Then we went for a walk thru town along the Deschutes River (we assume its named after the beer).

Looks like we gotta post one pic at a time, for some reason... but here's downtown Bend from a couple of weeks ago. We loved Bend.

August 11, 2006: Then we headed inland, to the mountains of central Oregon....

and to Diamond Lake for some fishing...

and to nearby Crater Lake, the deepest (, bluest, and most pristine) in North America.

August 8, 2006:

We headed across the border and up the Oregon coast. These pics are of Sunset Bay, near the great metropolis of Coos Bay.

August 5, 2006:
After Santa Cruz, we headed to Del Norte State Park, just south of Crescent City. Check out our Vino scooter and our new home, the mighty 26 foot Tioga.

...more from the Santa Cruz mountains.
August, 2, 2006:
Here's Thom standing in front of the tallest redwood in Cowell State Park, near Santa Cruz, which was our first stop on the trip.
